Recently, Yale ITS received the shipment of 20 3D Printers from HP for the Blended Reality Applied Research Project. We took one of the printers to test out, while the others remain at West Campus. Once we unboxed the 3D Printer and we started printing various objects. The setup was pretty straightforward and I didn’t really have to use the manuals to set up the 3D printer. Our very first object was a king chess piece. As of today, we were able to successfully print 5 objects including: gears, people figures, and more. I’m looking forward to printing more objects and hopefully we will get different colors of the filament.
