Yale’s Blended Reality applied research program has been one of the learning institutions participating in a multi-year research study on the uses for extended reality for teaching and learning. The HP/EDUCAUSE Campus of the Future project is in its second year of investigation into the benefits of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and 3D scanning and printing technologies for teaching, learning, and research at the institution

Participants in the research program will gather on the Yale campus in January 2020 to review the research findings, share their latest discoveries and work towards developing shared guidelines and standards for utilizing virtual reality, augmented reality and other extended reality technologies in an educational setting.
